Bad service

Bought a nice car from hertz car sales sf,ca. They claimed it had been maintained and oil change just done. Took it to a shop, oil was black and had wrong oil filter. I don't believe they used the right oil or filter for my vehicle. Hertz only allows me to speak with the salesman that sold the car. No additional help or system to backup the claims by the salesman. Bad company runs great vehicle.

Stay far away

Hertz took points away from me claiming I did not claim the points. I rented a car from them for 2 months but did not generate enough points for even 1 day of car rental. What a sham. Used to be a loyal customer but never again will I rent from this company.

I rented a car on Washington St in St Louis and I never got my deposit back. My name is Leaton Horton and it's been over a month. 931 308 ****.The interior was a mess. Nastiest seats I've ever seen.

Please ask to see all statements from Customer Service Managers in writing and not to believe anything that is not in writing from Hertz.

In the past few Days it has been a world wind of experience with your company here in Jacksonville, Florida. Starting with your location @ 1165 Cassat Ave., Jacksonville, Fl. Ph:904-354-****. I encountered All Managers as Rental Staff. The most horrible humiliations came from the Agent named Randall. None of these Employees are wearing Name Tags, also they are not professional at all. Please understand that a loss of a Job is what I am struggling with right now for this Agent. I do not want to have him removed but taught a better way to handle Customers. Several Reservations was made for my Insurance Replacement which is Geico. First, I was stuck on the Hertz lot for about three (3) hours on Thursday Feb 13th without reason or explanation. No Agent waited on me,I had to wait for Charles, the Manager to return from somewhere. During that wait I watched Two Employees (Matthew, Kiera), take an hour Lunch. Charles was there on the lot, and I was never told he was there until at least 15 minutes to half hour Finally I approached Charles, he said he would take care of us no problem. He spoke to our Insurance Agent (Raj) from the Geico got the okay to get the rental. Then, he came back and said I have a re-loadable debit card, it's not acceptable to use that card. He asked me to go to the bank and get a Bank Card from a local Bank and return to get the Rental. I followed that reasoning, came back on Feb 15th Dealt with Randall. Randall looked at me and said I cannot use your Debit Card without your name on it. Another turn down at Hertz by Agent. Before coming to Hertz, that morning, we called to see if our Reservations were there. It appeared that Geico had sent a message to Hertz to tell me that I have to pay for my Rental up front in full &;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;amp;;;;;; Geico will not be paying for it as of Saturday 15th of February. We called Geico and there was an error,corrected it, and we went on our way to Rent the Car. Randall looked at me with this Smirky Grin on his face as though this was all a Game or a joke when he said he could Not Take my Debit card for the $50 Deposit. It was such a humiliating moment while standing in the lobby of Hertz. Now, I ask for Charles and, Still Smirking, says Charles is on Vacation out of Town and cannot be reached. At this time that is when I find that Matthew is a Manager, Randall is a Manager,all the Managers and I got lousy service. I was never given any information about any mix up by Geico. After several times, several tries and no Rental. I am so greatly disappointed that your Company hold it's Clients to a high level and gave me the lowest level of Customer Service. I am a 64 yr old with a Heart Condition, and I am Diabetic. Yet I was treated with the highest level of Disrespect by your Staff. I am without a Rental at the moment and My Car has been towed to Repair Shop. Doctors appointments have been cancelled because of misleading information from your Staff, so please do not give me the highest level speech. Do Not Use Hertz In Blue Island IL

GM Jabari Williams is a Liar and Cheat, jawilliams@***.com and Jawilliams@***.com 773 416-**** . Hertz lost my items because they did not complete there policy, Jabari lied to me for months about helping, and now wont answer or return my calls. Hertz Corporation said all problems have to go through Blue Island office. And now GM Manger Jabari Williams will not assist me in my problems ! Also, always check your bill statement ! ! !

i rented a car in Guadalajara Airport, same as all complains here charge you lot's extra for Gas, they give yo one price &;;;;;;; once you have made reservation they screw you up!!! it has been 3 years i haven't been back, it took me only one time to understand,,, no more,,

Hertz - Don’t ever rent here again.
On Jan 1, 2020 I prepaid a reservation for my trip on Jan 10, 2020 @ 630am at Monterey Peninsula Airport. I arrived 20min early and waited for them to open. At 6;25am I'm getting a call from Hertz stating that they don't have my vehicle and wore is they don't have a vehicle at all. I reserved a minivan due to I have kids, so they're telling me that to come back 10am maybe they have a vehicle for me. I told the people there no I am not waiting or coming back just because you guys did not reserve my vehicle. So I told them that if I only knew that they are reliable I would have reserved somewhere else. I told them just to refund my money since they already took my money. They told me they will give my 7 to 10 days. I keep calling them and I told them that they will have to repay my $20 fee for my Lyft. They keep telling me the next week they refund me and now is almost a month but I haven't gotten my refund all they gave is case number. So never ever again will rent from this place.

Do NOT deal with this company at all

To anyone considering renting from this location- Do yourself a favor and avoid it at all costs: I wish to file a complaint against Hertz car rental located at 3733 North Oracle Rd. in Tucson, Az. I secured a reservation for a car rental through Hertz via Hotwire,. a third party booking agent.on 11/13/2019 for an upcoming trip for the Tucson Gem Show and the period of rental was to be from January 30th,2020 until February 4th, 2020. The rate was $140.45 and it was required that we had to prepay for our rental which we did. The North Oracle location was quite far from our booked hotel but the rate was good so we thought the inconvenience was worth it. On the morning of 1/30,2020 we took a Lyft to the Hertz located at 3733 North Oracle Rd. which cost us $15. On arrival we were told they needed a credit card which I understand is to secure the rental and cover damages etc. I presented a credit card and explained that the card was under the same account but they had given us a new card with a new number and we were told that they had to have the same card that had secured the reservation. I explained that the old card was no longer valid but the new card was. The old card could not have been used even if I had it because the credit card company had disabled it and the reservation had already been paid back in November when I had booked it. The agent proceeded to tell us that he was sorry but that there was nothing he could do, he could not give us a car and he couldn't give us a refund either. We called the credit card company up and explained the situation to them and they offered to talk to the agent on our behalf but the Hertz agent refused to talk to them and insisted there was nothing they could do. I called customer service, I called Hotwire, I called anyone I could call to remedy the situation and each company passed the buck insisting there was nothing they could do. The agent at Hertz said read your terms and conditions regarding presenting a credit card and I ask him :so, if someone loses a card or its stolen or if there is a security breach and someone has to get a new card with a new credit card number they automatically lose their money and their reservation? That makes no sense. My assessment of the situation is that there was a problem on Hertz's end with providing a car because the same agent we were talking to had quickly run outside after our arrival and was fiddling around a couple of the cars , opening the doors etc. and so he either didn't have a car or he wanted to rent it to someone that would pay more money since it is a high demand week. The terms and conditions he referred to were in an e-mail we received prior to our arrival in Tucson and they said that you needed to have a credit card in the name of the person who would be driving the car period! The whole issue comes down to the fact that Hertz was the company that received payment for this rental not Hotwire and they did not honor their contract. If they think that we intend to let them keep our money after they did not provide us with the service we paid for they have another thing coming. There we were in some remote location with no car and being told there was "nothing they could do", I was in tears by then. Even Hertz customer service said they would cancel our reservation and give us a refund which was not exactly what we wanted but better than taking our money and when they talked to the agent at the counter he said he could not do it, SORRY but I can't>;;;;;;;;;; Seriously? Read all the reviews people, don't deal with Hertz at all and especially this locationr North Oracle Rd, Tucson, Az. No

Beware

Booked a rental online for $162 Picked up vehicle and was charged for insurance which I declined online and at the counter. Also was told at the counter it was cheaper to buy gas from them. What they dont tell you is that they sell you a whole tank. I payed $75 to drive 50 miles. So my $162 vehicle really cost me $282. They took advantage of the fact that I had been traveling for 10 hours and didnt read the fine print. Very unethical.

"Rude & Scammed, beware with what they ask you to sign!!!"

On December 21st 2019, HERTZ UK took it upon themselves to alter my booking onto my Gold card unbeknown to me. My booking had been completed and paid for well in advance, but on collection of the booking the HERTZ UK staff member took it upon herself to adjust my booking, which added on an absurd extra charge and chose to not inform me of this change and added charge, even after I questioned her regarding extra charges numerous times. Her manner in which she managed our booking was unprofessional, rude and with no respect for another human being, never mind a customer. We were treated as a nuisance and they took advantage of our lack of experience at the HERTZ UK office by not directing us to the vehicle, not handing us the key and by making life more stressful while we struggled to find all these things. In that line of work there should be a certain level of care and understanding and most definitely professionalism as you are dealing with people who are running on stress due to traveling far distances. It is the staffs job to make the experience as stress free as possible. Now HERTZ UK are refusing to take responsibility for the added hefty charge and are passing the buck. This is disgraceful service from a money hungry corporation who do not care for the well-being of their customers.

I SAW A SCAM VIDEO FROM A NEWS STATION ON UTUBE REGARDING DOLLAR RENTAL COMPANY. THIS COMPANY AS WELL AS HERTZ WERE CHARGING $9.99 PER GALLON. HERTZ CHARGED ME $13.49 FOR GAS. HOW IN THE WORLD IS A GALLON GOING TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE ON THE GAS GAGE? FULL IS FULL. SHAME ON YOU HERTZ . THEY HAVE THERE OWN PHONE LINE FOR GAS CHARGES ALONE. WHAT DOES THAT TELL YOU? YEAH . THEY GET A LOT OF COMPLAINTS ON GAS CHARGES IM SURE. THEY DID REFUND MY MONEY. THIS HAPPENED IN ATLANTA GEORGIA AIRPORT. PICKING UP THE CAR WAS A HEADACHE AS WELL . SHORT HANDED AND VERY UNORGANIZED. I WILL NEVER RENT FROM HERTZ AGAIN.

Still pissed after all this time. I still tell everyone I know don’t use Hertz. For God sake I was almost attacked by the employee in Key West! I was not wrong and I contacted the company several times and no one got back to me - enough said
