Hertz over charged and under delivered

I reserved and paid for a 2 day hire of a large sedan. I went to the Sunrise, Fort Lauderdale location to collect the car at 8am.

The staff walked in at 8 and then proceeded to tell me that they had no full size cars, in fact they had no cars. They found a dirty small car, with stained seats and filthy all over car. They could not reduce the cost and were basically rude. I had no options because I was due at a meeting two hours away.

I called customer service who offered me a $6 refund.

I'm a Gold Card user and will not use Hertz again. Just a terrible company.

Shiesty Business Practices

I've been renting cars from Hertz from the Cherry Hill location for quite some time, never having a real issue besides the lack of staff, cars sometimes unclean and at times staff not customer service friendly. Recently I rented a car on 12/27 for 2 days returning on 12/29 .

I received a call from Hertz car recovery on 1/1 and 1/2 stating that I was still in possession of the vehicle, which I explained the car had been returned to the rental company. Afterward I decided to some research and I noticed my digital receipt on the website, that I was charged a fee of $300 on 1/1 and $100 on 1/2, so I called my credit card company to verify the charges and the Rep had informed me of charges of $200 on 12/31, $100 1/1 and $100 1/2, WTH!!! Is there no one doing their job and updating the system when cars are returned (maybe they need to hire more staff, only 2 to 3 people behind desk).

If I would've known that Hertz are into shiesty business practices, I would have reconsidered doing business with them. When I try calling the office (16 x) no one ever answers the phone, which is very poor customer service.

Good luck trying to get in touch with someone that can actually help you at the location you rented your car from. I spent hours back and forth with over a dozen customer service representatives that had little or no knowledge of how I can contact the store about some property that I had missing.

Their lost and found portion of their website is not helpful and not intuitive. They sent me the wrong item, then wouldnt help me see if they had the correct item. I will NEVER use HERTZ again.

Beyond horrendous customer service and people that wont help. Too automated.

I have been a long time dedicated Hertz user (presidential circle). I tried quite a few numbers to try and get to speak to someone. NO LUCK. You have the worst customer service! I spent almost an hour on phone to get to a person. Also, I called at least two weeks ago regarding my issue (shocking, but I did get a live person) asking to speak to a manager. I was assured someone would call me back…..still waiting. I called back yesterday and the way I got to speak to someone is by acting as if I needed to rent a car. I relayed my issue, given a case number and was told to give them a week.
Very disappointed with your customer service.
