Especially at Munich Airport in Germany!

I had my reservation (made at Car Rental) in March for 11 days for a total of 218 euro.

When I returned my car after 11 days they charged me 896 euro – quite a RIP-OFF!!!

4 TIMES AS MUCH!!! How?

Their employee Michael Hofmann with a nice smile on his face added extra costs (insurance, winter tires etc.) without ANY explanation to me, nor did he bother informing me about the final total amount - he tricked me and just gave me a few papers to sign, acting like he was very "customer friendly".

I wonder what their commission is for such a scam?

My mistake - I fell for it trusting the company to be honest!

I can honestly admit that my signature was fraudulently obtained by him.

Would anybody willingly agree to pay 4 TIMES as much for their rental? Yes - if you are an ***!

Their supervisor Markus Schneider told me he couldn't do anything about it, because the contract was over!

I came back to the US and called Hertz main office - they opened a case (AL4456/053), but it seems like they don't care much about customer satisfaction not mentioning their understanding of the problem.

They don't even want to use their last names in their e-mail correspondence with me (just Ashley O. or Brandi M.) nor do they give their direct phone numbers (only fax #) - are they afraid of something?!

I will take this matter to Hertz's CEO office, because I don't think that they are aware of their employee's practices!

I've warned already all of my friends, and I'm trying to warn you!

Hertz made/stole an extra 678 euro from me, but they will never see me as their customer again, or any of my friends - I will make sure of it.

By cheating and lying they're not going to get far!

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Monetary Loss: $760.

Preferred solution: Price reduction.

Hertz Cons: Entire ordeal with hertz.

Is there any follow up on this?I can't believe that three years passed and I came into the same situation as you, and, they even don't want to provide me with the name of the staff who did this to me

SHAME on Hertz!!! So far I have had such a positive opinion about the company.However,now,being so disappointed with the company policy,I will have to change it.Unless I hear Hertz will try to reconsider this case.If not I and many of my travelling friends will definietely choose a more honest , trustworthy and truly customer friendly rental company.
